Kit the Fox is clever, curious and cool, and he’s the Library’s #1 fan! In fact, Kit loves the Library so much that one day he volunteered to serve as the Library’s new goodwill mascot — and the rest is history!
Fresno County will host its sixth Big Read next spring celebrating The Call of the Wild by Jack London. Programs in March and April 2013 will explore London's adventure classic through dog and pet-themed book discussions, concerts, film screenings, reader's theater, author talks, art exhibits and more that will also emphasize wilderness and Gold Rush themes.
With so many Friends groups, including the county-wide Friends of the Library group, it’s important to understand the relationship between the organizations and how we support each other.
Individual branches might each have their own Friends group, organized by members who are interested in supporting the library branch they frequent the most often. Then there’s the Fresno County Friends of the Library group, consisting of members whose support is in the interest of libraries county-wide, and not of any particular individual branch.
