Brews and Vines in the Library, is a new event to be held at the Woodward Park Library. This event will feature wine and beer tasting along with hors d'oeuvres served among the stacks. Proceeds from this event will be deposited into the Friends of the Library Endowment Fund held by the Central Valley Community Foundation.

Dinner in the Library, was an annual event held at the Central Library. This event featured literary themed tables with hosts who are experts in their subject. The dinner was elegantly prepared and served among the stacks. Proceeds from this event were deposited into the Friends of the Library Endowment held by the Central Valley Community Foundation. This event has been suspended after 25 years.

Evening in the Theatre is more of a Friend raiser than fundraiser. The Friends of the Library "buy out the house" at the Theater in order to mix and mingle with other Friends. Refreshments are included following the show. This is a great event for introducing your friends to the Friends of the Library!

Memorial Gifts and Tribute Gifts

Memorial gifts to the Friends are directed to the Friends' Endowment Fund. This fund is steadily growing due to reinvestment of earnings. When the fund reaches $1 million dollars, a portion of the annual earnings will be used for Library projects and operations.

Tribute or honorarium gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, or "just because," are used for Friends operations and special projects.
