The Friends of the Fresno County Library are excited to announce a new way to raise funds to support our library system. The Friends are now a recognized charity on Goodsearch, a Yahoo! powered search engine. Instead of using Google, use Goodsearch, found at www.goodsearch.com, to perform online searches.

Go to www.goodsearch.com and enter Friends of the Fresno County Library in the charity box, then perform your searches. We will receive approximately a penny per search performed. The folks at Goodsearch seem to make things pretty simple too—after entering Friends of the Fresno County Library the first time you perform a search at the site, the name remains in the charity box unless you change it, thus removing a step for all future searches.

While this might not sound like a lot, they estimate that if a group of 2,000 people searched twice per day, they would raise nearly $15,000 over the course of a year. What if 20,000 people searched five times a day? Spread the word about Goodsearch.
