“The Friends of the Fresno County Public Library is a model for other nonprofits to follow in regard to managing its fiscal affairs.”

This was a comment made by the Friends’ independent auditor, Angela Chi, CPA, of Watts, Campbell, Chi, & Baker Accountancy Corporation when she reported on the Friends 2007 and first independent audit.

Chi presented her 2007 Audit Report at the General Membership Annual Meeting held on April 8, 2008. Chi stated that the Friends’ fiscal affairs are in order and in accordance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Practices requirements and the Nonprofit Integrity Act. Chi further stated that the Friends’ fiscal management practices are sound.

A copy of the 2007 Audit Report and a copy of the 2007 Year-End Financial Report have been mailed to all Branch Friends Boards to review and to share with their respective memberships.
